Arthur William Binks

Born Bet. July - September 1860 in Poplar, Middlesex, Arthur was a 'commercial traveller for wire-rope' according to the 1881 census.

Arthur married Margaret Beaman (born Bet. January-March 1859 in Salop, Newport) in Christchurch* between July-September 1893 and had a son, Reginald.

In the 1901 census, Arthur was a 'wire-rope manufacturer' and employer. The family were living at 10 Gascoyne Road, Hackney.

Arthur was a director of Binks Brothers Ltd.

Nothing more is known.

* Since Margaret was born in Newport, the marriage was probably in Christchurch, Newport, and not in Christchurch, Hampshire, in spite of the reference at the Free BMD website.
