Easter Clara Josephina Binks

Born December 19th 1858 at 10 Conduit Terrace, Plumstead.

At the time of the British 1891 census, Easter was lodging at 2 Boundary Terrace, Walworth, St Saviour, Southwark. She was self-employed as a Dressmaker.

Following brother Alfred, Easter immigrated to the USA arriving in Pecos, Texas on December 19, 1891. (* The 1900 US census erroneously states that she immigrated in 1892).

One source mentions she was "Five foot, three inches, 97 pounds, and had flaming red hair".

She bought 80 acres of land on Pecos River in Ward County for $210 in 1893 which she subsequently sold to Alfred, on July 3, 1896 for $500.

She married widower Thomas Daniel Cranfill (born April 10, 1859 in Carrollton, IL) in 1894 in Midland County, Texas, and had two children; Easter Nessie Cranfill (July 13, 1896) and Harvey Claude Cranfill (September 1, 1898).

Easter and Thomas divorced in 1904, and Easter took the children to California where in Los Angeles she died on July 29, 1940.
