Henry 'Harry' Rutland

Henry 'Harry' Rutland was born in Bethnal Green on August 10, 1907. He married Florence Dorothy 'Dolly' Moss (b. February 18, 1909 in St. Pancras) on August 18, 1930. At the time of their marriage, Florence was living at 110 Treadway Street, Bethnal Green, and Harry at 67 Weymouth Terrace, Shoreditch.

Harry worked as a Taxi Cab driver and it is believed that he became a friend of the famous bandleader Harry Roy who's band was resident at the Mayfair and other London Hotels in the 1930s - '40s. Harry was a actually a fine Violin player himself.

'Harry' and 'Dolly' had 4 children; Henry, Florence Kathleen, David Joseph Patrick & Terence.

Harry died in Brent, Middlesex on April 20, 2001. 'Dolly' had died earlier in Edgware on October 10, 1992.
