James may or may not have married Susan \\ (born in Enfield, Middlesex, bet. 1812 - 1813). They lived as man and wife but no marriage registration has been found, and nor have they been found in either the 1841 or 1851 censuses.

James and Susan had at least one daughter (Annette Helen Huskisson) in Marylebone. But no birth registration has been found for her. James Thomas Huskisson is identified as her (late) father on her marriage certificate, and Annette was living with her widowed mother Susan in the 1871 census.

There is a possibility that Annette had been adopted. The only 'Annette Helen' birth registration for the Marylebone district that matches her given age in various sources is the following:

Research continues to determine if James and Susan Huskisson were Annette's natural parents

James was working a carpenter / journeyman at the time of his death on November 2, 1857 at 18 Buckingham Place, Marylebone. The cause of death was, according to the death certificate, Asthma (? years), effusion in chest - 14 days.

Susan died in St Pancras bet. October - December 1880.

Nothing more is known.
