Jemima Hannah Huskisson

Jemima Hannah Huskisson was born February 12, 1852 at 8 Brill Place, St. Pancras. She married William Alfred Cotton (born September 2, 1854 in Marylebone) on August 3, 1874 at St. Pancras Church, St Pancras. William was christened October 22nd 1854 at Saint Mary's, St Marylebone Road, Saint Marylebone, London. He was the son of William Wallace Cotton and brother of Henry W. Cotton (born bet. 1855 - 1856). His occupation was a Plumber.

Jemima was working as a servant to the household of Jeweller, James Bennett at 16 Lloyd Sq, Amwell, St James Clerkenwell. according to the 1871 census.

William and Jemima had at least the following children:

Alfred H. Cotton (b. bet. 1876 - 1877 and died bet. January - March 1889), William Arthur Cotton (b. 1881), Eliza Louisa Cotton (b. bet. October - December 1882), Edith Kate Cotton (b. 1884 in Holborn), Ernest Cotton (b. bet. 1886 - 1887 in Clerkenwell), Ethel Maud Cotton (b. 1890 in St Pancras), and an unknown child born on July 2, 1893, after which Jemima died of haemorrhaging as a result of the birth. No birth or death records for the child have been found.

Her husband, William, was present at her death which took place at 12 Swinton Street, St Pancras. She was 41 years old.

Sometime between July - September 1898, William married Clara Bishop (born bet. 1853 - 1854 in Speldhurst, Kent). They were still living at 12 Swinton Street, St Pancras according to the 1901 census.
