Charles Thomas Binks*

Thomas was born in London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada on November 10, 1887.

*Charles Thomas Binks' was actually registered at birth as Thomas Charles Binks.  However this is the only source that puts his forenames in reverse order. All other sources state Charles Thomas, and consequently I have to presume that Charles Thomas Binks is the name by which he was known. It's a possibility that at the time of his birth registration, knowing that he had a cousin already with the name of Charles Thomas Binks (son of William Joseph Binks), the parents may have decided to reverse the names to avoid future confusion.

Charles was a draughtsman by trade.

In 1907 Charles emigrated to the USA, initially residing in Detroit, Michigan.

He returned at some point to London, Ontario where he married Olive Alberta Petrie (born in London, Middlesex, Ontario between 1885 - 1886) on June 17, 1912.

Their first child, Marion Louise Binks was born in 1913 in Canada and the family migrated to the USA arriving in Detroit, Michigan on May 24, 1913. A second child, Eugene C. Binks, was born April 6, 1915 in Ohio.

At the time of the US 1920 census the family were living in Madison Township, Richland, Ohio.

In the US 1930 census the family were residing in St Louis, Missouri.

In 1942, according to a World War 2 draft registration card he was living with Olive at 12419 Phillips Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. His place of employment was the Mooney Iron Works Company, 3319 E. 80th St. Cleveland, Ohio.

Nothing more is known.
