Thomas Green
Little is known about Thomas Green apart from the facts that he was born Bet. 1851 - 1852 in Bethnal Green and married Mary Martha Butcher (daughter of John Butcher, a shoemaker, and Sarah (Sharp).
Thomas was a Master Cabinet Maker & General dealer, however, if the 1891 census is to be believed, he also worked as a Greengrocer. I have considered that maybe there were TWO 'Thomas Green & Mary families' with similar children's' birth dates and names in Bethnal Green in 1891. However, if there were, the similarities would be extraordinary and no second family can be found anyway. So, I have to accept that Thomas must have indeed worked for at least a period, as a green grocer.
Thomas married Mary Martha
Butcher on March 14, 1872 at James The Great Church, Middlesex.
