It is evident that Marie Rose Binks and Rose Trevette Binks were twins, born just before and just after midnight 31st December-1st January 1883.

THREE Birth registrations exist for Marie Rose Binks. The first, dated Jan 29th 1883, gives her date of birth as Dec 31st 1882 (the same as Rose Trevette) and gives her name as MARY Rose Binks. The second, dated July 28th 1883, gives her date of birth as Jan 1st 1883 and name still as MARY Rose Binks. The third, dated February 6th 1884, gives her date of birth as January 1st 1883 and her name as MARIE Rose Binks. It is my opinion that the 2nd registration was to correct the birth date and the 3rd registration was probably to correct or change the name of MARY to MARIE. The name change seems to be the only possible reason for a third registration, so I have presumed that MARIE was her intended and correct first name.
